Cartagena was declared by UNESCO in 1984 as Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Being rich in unique architecture and historical sites, there are plenty things to do and see in the city of Cartagena, and photographers can indulge themselves. Wander around in the cobblestone streets, forming a cozy labyrinth of brightly colored buildings, floral balconies, luxurious boutique hotels, multifarious restaurants and bars, welcoming plazas and cute boutique shops. Walk over the 13 km centuries old stonewalls that round the city in order to defend itself from possible pirate attacks.
